Here is a generic motor assembly. This assembly has 6 parts: lower housing, upper housing, blower fan, grill, motor cover, and shaft. The individual pieces give examples of different solidworks commands in use. The lower and upper housing parts make use of the shell commands, also with the upper housing, a path dependent sweep was used for the upper portion, finishing off with a loft where the opening flares out. The blower fan makes use of a circular pattern to create the fins. The grill is actually a thickened revolved surface. The hole pattern in the grill uses the Fill Pattern feature.
